Michael Cameron

Michael S. Cameron, is an Investment Advisor Representative and Financial 
Planner with LPL Financial and the founder and president of Cameron Financial Management. Michael’s office is located in beautiful downtown Plant City, FL. LPL Financial is the number one independent broker/dealer the country based on revenues, as reported in Financial Planning Magazine (June 1996-2017)

Mr. Cameron began his financial advisor career in July of 2001 with Edward Jones. While at Edward Jones, Mr. Cameron grew his business with his educational teaching style, by helping individual investors and business owners develop financial strategies that fit their unique needs and goals. His tenure with Edward Jones included the full market cycle from the tragedy of 9/11 to the boom of 2007 and ultimately the “great recession” of 2008-2009.

In addition to Mr. Cameron’s success in the field of financial planning and consulting, he is a proven leader in the Plant City community. Mr. Cameron shows his leadership through his involvement in several organizations. One of these is the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce, where he serves on the Board of Directors, Leadership Plant City committee, Ambassadors, and the Community Program Development committee as well as other committees.

Mr. Cameron is also an active member and Past President of the Plant City Lions Club. He is a Melvin Jones Fellow and currently serves as a member of the Lions Club Board of Directors. His additional community involvement and leadership roles include current member and Past President of the Friends of the Bruton Memorial Library, Past President of Plant City Toastmasters and the Past President of the former Plant City NPI chapter. Michael has also served on the Citizens Advisory Committee to the Hillsborough County School Board.

Mr. Cameron is a graduate of Florida Southern College. He is a Plant City native and resident and is married to Terrie Sanders Cameron and they have a wonderful son, Nicholas, age 10.
